RSA SecurID Toolbar Token for Internet Explorer is a browser add-on that embeds an RSA SecurID software token directly in the Internet Explorer toolbar. It generates time-based, one-time passcodes (tokencodes) to support two‑factor authentication for VPNs, portals, and web applications that use RSA SecurID. Users enter their PIN in the toolbar to display a current tokencode, reducing the need to carry a separate hardware token or switch between applications.
Designed for managed enterprise environments, it can store and manage one or more provisioned software tokens and supports common provisioning methods supplied by administrators (such as importing a token file or activation code). The toolbar can copy or auto-fill tokencodes into compatible web login forms, streamlining sign-in while maintaining strong security.
Note: This component is specific to Microsoft Internet Explorer and is considered legacy. It may not be supported on modern browsers or operating systems.
